In 1920, Shortly after the end of the Great War as it was known then, now known as the First World War (1914 – 1918), a small number of returned “Diggers” got together and decided to form a Sub-Branch of the newly formed (1916) Returned Sailors and Soldiers Imperial League of Australia (RSSILA), so that they could help their fellow returned servicemen.
This ideal remains one of the core values and focus of our Club.
